Patients appreciate

Dr. David Shepherd receives overwhelmingly positive feedback from patients who consistently praise his exceptional communication skills, professionalism, and patient-centered approach. Patients frequently highlight that he takes time to thoroughly explain diagnoses, procedures, risks, and outcomes in ways they can understand, often using visual aids like models. Many reviewers emphasize that he never makes them feel rushed during appointments, listens carefully to their concerns, and patiently answers all questions. His surgical expertise, particularly with robotic-assisted procedures, is repeatedly commended, with patients expressing complete confidence in his abilities. Reviewers also appreciate his warm, caring demeanor, describing him as genuinely concerned about their well-being, empathetic, and personable. His office staff and overall team environment receive praise as well, with patients noting the friendly, efficient, and professional atmosphere.

Patients also share

While the vast majority of reviews are highly positive, a few patients identified areas for improvement. One patient felt Dr. Shepherd seemed rushed during a procedure and was disappointed by the lack of post-operative instructions provided afterward. Another reviewer, while acknowledging Dr. Shepherd's knowledge and thoroughness, felt his reassurances came across as slightly dismissive during an emotionally difficult time, though the patient acknowledged this perception may have been influenced by their own emotional state rather than the doctor's intent. These concerns represent a small minority of the feedback but suggest occasional inconsistencies in the patient experience, particularly around perceived time constraints and emotional support during highly stressful situations.
