Edward Kerr, MD, FAANS, is a board-certified neurosurgeon specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of brain tumors, skull base tumors, spine disorders and complex neurological conditions. He sees patients in Dallas, Texas, and provides advanced neurosurgical care using both minimally invasive and traditional surgical techniques.
Dr. Kerr has expertise in the treatment of brain tumors, skull base lesions, pituitary tumors, cervical spine disorders, thoracic spine disorders, lumbar spine disorders and other conditions affecting the brain and spine. His clinical interests include minimally invasive skull base surgery, endoscopic endonasal surgery, complex spine surgery and advanced cranial procedures. After earning his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine, Dr. Kerr completed his neurosurgery residency at the University of California Davis Medical Center. He further advanced his training through fellowships in complex spine surgery and minimally invasive skull base surgery, where he trained with pioneers in the field of endoscopic skull base and endonasal surgery.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Kerr has contributed extensively to neurosurgical research and education. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, book chapters and scientific presentations, and his research achievements earned him the Excellence in Clinical Research Resident Award from the UC Davis Department of Neurosurgery. He has also served as associate faculty for advanced endoscopic skull base surgery training courses.
