Biography

Emmanuel Mantilla Jr., DO, MS, is board-certified in neurology and fellowship-trained and board-certified neuro-oncology. He has special interests in primary brain tumors, brain metastasis and neurological complications of oncology.

Dr. Mantilla received his medical degree from the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. He then completed his internship and residency in neurology at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Finally, he completed his fellowship in neuro-oncology at UT Southwestern Medical Center.


Dr. Mantilla has published several scientific articles in the field of neuro-oncology and has participated in numerous clinical trials. He has recently become the principal investigator for a clinical trial that will open soon and is a sub-principal investigator in multiple ongoing trials. Additionally, Dr. Mantilla is working on a chapter in the new edition of the Handbook for Brain Tumor Chemotherapy, Molecular Therapeutics, and Immunotherapy.
