Biography
Dr. White is a board-certified neurosurgeon dedicated to helping patients with complex neurological conditions affecting the brain and spine. Specializing in general neurosurgery and minimally invasive endovascular techniques, he offers advanced treatment options. Dr. White joined the Texas Brain and Spine Institute in 2008. He completed both a neurosurgical training program and endovascular fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. While at the Mayo Clinic, Dr. White served as Assistant Professor in the department of Physiology and Biomedical Engineering. Dr. White earned a bachelor’s degree in biology and political science at Birmingham-Southern College. He then attended the University of Alabama in Birmingham where he received his M.D. degree and Ph.D. degree in physiology and biophysics. He has also completed a master’s in business administration and a master’s in finance. In addition to his neurosurgical practice, Dr. White enjoys the educational and research opportunities afforded by his affiliation with the Texas A&M Health Science Center. He is a member of several state, regional, and national neurosurgical and medical organizations. Dr. White is also director of the stroke program. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, running, and spending time with his wife and four children.
