Biography

Dr. Scott Thomas is a board-certified surgeon specializing in colorectal surgery, with a subspecialty in general surgery. His professional interests include colon and rectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, colonoscopy, diverticular disease, anorectal disorders, complex colorectal and abdominal conditions, re-operative surgery, acute care surgery and open and laparoscopic surgery.


Dr. Thomas is passionate about the total care of his adult patients, as well as continuing to educate the next generation of physicians and surgeons.

He is a member of the American College of Surgeons (and its South Texas Chapter), the Texas Surgical Society, the Association for Surgical Education and the Southern Society of Clinical Surgeons.

Outside of work, Dr. Thomas enjoys spending time with family, including his wife and three sons, being outdoors, playing golf and traveling.
