Biography

Dr. Gotvald is a dedicated vascular specialist with a particular interest in minimally-invasive endovascular therapies that restore the circulatory health of patients with poor circulation. He receives great satisfaction from seeing improvement in the quality of life after patients' cardiovascular function is restored. One of his primary areas of interest is treating artery and vein disease of the extremities, including peripheral artery disease, blood clots and varicose veins.


An Air Force veteran, Dr. Gotvald served as a military surgeon for many years. He finds enjoyment at home raising his three children and traveling.

Dr. Gotvald has been recognized as a Top Doc 2025 and 2026 by Austin Monthly Magazine. Winners are nominated by their peers as among the best in their region/nation in their medical speciality.
