The onset symptoms occurred shortly after receiving the Moderna COVID-19 mRNA vaccine. After a 6 months, I resigned from work and the symptoms progressed Into more serious chronic conditions and retired to get on Medicare. My initial visit with Dr. Salazar alarmed her and she triaged my symptoms due to stroke crisis blood pressure reading. She ran numerous tests and labs, identifying conditions and promptly made numerous referrals to specialist in priority order. I only saw her a couple of times Since 09/2023 while I sawan increasing number of specialists, currently 9 across BS&W and 3 other providers. This last visit was important to me because uncertainties of cause still exist and have been overwhelmed with capturing increasing amount of symptom cluster measurements, using AI to correlate progression by specialty, identify patterns of concern by specialist, write portal messages and reports needed by specialist, and alerting certain specialists of episodic patterns interplaying between symptoms. This has been an arduous task that couldn't be done easily if I didn't have a technical background including AI research. As conditions became complex with mixed autonomic and idiopathic immune response symptom clusters, the uncertainties were piling up and was feeling worried about making necessary plans based on ability to work again, move to a more suitable residence or advance planning since my conditions continue to progress. I set up a long appointment to review progress of my health, my uncertainties, and need to somehow simplify logistics of providing more integrated care of my conditions to reach a more holistic prognosis and treatment plan to manage my life with greater reassurance. Dr. Salizar reviewed my summary timeline and diagnostic progression as well as unattended new symptoms needing disposition, treatment or referral. She was very engaged and compassionate, assimilating multiple treatment plans, intended objectives and progression of testing. In 40 minutes of intense review, some emotional distress, she quickly advised, treated, and made referrals to help accelerate or alleviate logistics in my wellness journey. She referred me to a respected cardiovascular diseases specialist at BSW with similar qualifications to my cardio specialist in Houston's Med Center to be more integrated into my current mefical team. She recommended PT to Investigate relief for lumbar strain from osteoporosis and old Injury to C3/C4 vertibrae and shoulder joints which tend to radiate during episodic systemic inflammation glare ups. She scheduled a Medicare Annual Review close to when treatment plans for neuromuscular and neuro-ophthalmology pathways were to collaborate and have answers to progressive neurological conditions to suggest potential research assisted treatment pathways. Lastly she was one of two physicians that recommended I file an Advanced Directive. I gave her a completed copy and she reviewed It medically so I could have my surrogate sign and have noyarized. She appreciated the detailed report on progress I provided, and happy she was able to streamline my care. I greatly appreciate the time and critical thinking Dr. Salazar provided. I saw her ability again to rapidly size up my complex case and I walked out of her office feeling her care was methodical and organized like the very first time she accepted me as a patient with strange symptoms to diagnose.
