Biography
Dr. Dhume is an obstetrician-gynecologist whose clinical interests include minimally invasive and robotic surgery, adolescent gynecology, comprehensive pregnancy care, and reproductive health advocacy. She is dedicated to providing personalized, evidence-based care that empowers women to make informed decisions about their health. Born in Boston and raised in both Houston, Texas, and India, Dr. Dhume earned her B.A. from Rice University and an M.S. in Nutrition from Columbia University. Before medical school, she worked with the New York City Department of Health on public health initiatives. She returned to Texas to attend the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, where she served as her program’s advocacy chair and cared for underserved populations, including uninsured and incarcerated women. Outside of medicine, Dr. Dhume enjoys exploring Austin’s restaurant scene, traveling with her husband, reading non-fiction, learning about new cultures, and spending time with her family and friends.
