Biography

Dr. Mary Theoktisto is a board-certified physician, specializing in infectious diseases. Her professional interests include antimicrobial stewardship, hospital epidemiology and travel medicine.

She is passionate about solving complex problems, healing her adult patients and helping to prevent the spread of infections. She believes in making a tangible difference in patients' lives.


Dr. Theoktisto is a proud member of the Infectious Diseases Society of America and the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, hiking, mountain biking, gardening and traveling.

Dr. Theoktisto has been recognized as a Top Doc 2024, 2025, and 2026 by Austin Monthly Magazine. Winners are nominated by their peers as among the best in their region/nation in their medical speciality.
