Merelyn Thomas, DO

Merelyn Thomas, DO is an internal medicine and pediatrics physician at BSW Family Medical Center - Midlothian. Her combined training in internal medicine and pediatrics allows her to care for patients across all stages of life while building long-term relationships focused on prevention, wellness and ongoing health management.


Dr. Thomas has clinical interests in preventive care, chronic disease management, women's health, pediatric and adolescent medicine, and mental health. She treats a wide range of conditions, including hypertension, high cholesterol, diabetes, asthma, allergies, thyroid disorders and obesity, and works closely with patients to develop personalized care plans that support lifelong wellness.

Dr. Thomas attended medical school in Pikeville, Kentucky and completed her internship and residency training in Shreveport, Louisiana. Outside of medicine, Dr. Thomas enjoys traveling and exploring new cultures, trying new restaurants and cuisines, staying active, and spending time with family and friends.
