Dr. Tran is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and American Board of Thoracic Surgery and specializes in adult cardiothoracic surgery. He received his medical degree from University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City, KS. He completed his internship and residency in general surgery at Baylor University Medical Center, where he was outstanding cardiothoracic resident and a two-time recipient of the Five Star Spirit Award honoring his commitment to service excellence. He then moved to Baltimore, MD, for his fellowship training in cardiothoracic surgery at the distinguished Johns Hopkins Hospital. His professional interests include coronary artery revascularization including off-pump technique, thoracic aortic disease, minimally invasive heart and valve surgery, lung cancer, and minimally invasive robotic lung surgery.
