Biography
Dr. Alqaim is a board-certified vascular surgeon specializing in surgical and endovascular treatment of complex thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysms, aortic dissections, carotid disease, peripheral arterial disease, mesenteric artery disease, hemodialysis access and chronic venous disease. He serves as an assistant professor at TCU Burnett School of Medicine. After earning a master's degree in biomedical sciences and a medical degree, Dr. Alqaim completed an integrated vascular surgery residency at the University of Massachusetts. He has authored multiple publications in national peer-reviewed medical journals and received multiple honors and awards, including the Deterling Award for Best Scientific Paper from the New England Society for Vascular Surgery.
