Dr. Emerson practices the full range of general surgery and has a special interest in endoscopic reflux surgery. He is specially trained to perform transoral incisionless fundoplication, an innovative procedure ... that restores the body’s natural protection against esophageal reflux. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and is currently the Chief of Surgery at Baylor Medical Center at Irving. He is an experienced general surgeon capable of performing the wide variety of operations in the specialty as well as advanced laparoscopic techniques and robotic surgery. Dr. Emerson is married with three children. In his spare time, he enjoys fly-fishing, camping, hiking, reading, sailing, and running. Dr. Emerson provides care to patients aged 17 and older.
