Biography
Dr. Neelan Doolabh is a highly experienced cardiothoracic surgeon with a strong focus on minimally invasive cardiac surgery. His clinical interests include minimally invasive cardiac procedures, aortic valve surgery, mitral valve repair and replacement, tricuspid valve repair and replacement, coronary bypass surgery, aneurysm surgery, cardiac tumors, and congenital heart defects. A pioneer in minimally invasive cardiac surgery, Dr. Doolabh performed his first minimally invasive case in 2006 and has since completed nearly 4,000 minimally invasive procedures, attracting patients from across the country. His work emphasizes rapid recovery and an enhanced patient experience, reflecting his deep commitment to innovation and patient‑centered care. Outside of medicine, Dr. Doolabh is married and has one son. He is an avid Formula One racing enthusiast and has watched every race for more than two decades. He also served as part of the first medical team for the inaugural Formula One race at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin and has a strong interest in automobiles.
