Neeta Gopinath Nayak, MD

Dr. Nayak received her medical degree from the University of Mysore in Mysore, India. She completed both her internship and residency at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine in Memphis, TN. She also completed a fellowship at the University of Chicago in Chicago, IL, which prepared her to care for the complexity of the physical, emotional and psychosocial stresses facing the aging person and the caregivers who are affected as well. Dr. Nayak is triple board-certified in internal medicine; geriatrics; and hospice and palliative medicine. Her focus is to provide compassionate care, improve the quality of life and treat the person as a whole. Dr. Nayak was raised in a family that believed in caring for their elders at home and experienced firsthand the challenges as well as the loving rewards of such an endeavor. She has been married to her husband for over two decades, and together they have two teenage daughters and a cat named 'Moo'. In her spare time, Dr. Nayak enjoys painting, hiking, cooking and occasionally watching Netflix originals.

Dr. Nayak has been named a Best Doctor in Collin County for 2022 by D Magazine.
