Nina Williams, MD

Dr. Nina Williams is a board-certified cardiologist who is dedicated to helping patients achieve and maintain heart health through compassionate, evidence-based care. Her clinical interests include preventive cardiology, heart failure management, women’s cardiovascular health, and cardio-obstetrics, with a special focus on reducing cardiovascular health disparities and improving outcomes for underserved populations. In addition to outpatient cardiology, she has a particular interest in inpatient cardiac critical care and the management of acutely ill cardiovascular patients.


Dr. Williams earned her medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and completed her internship and residency at Inova Fairfax Hospital. She went on to complete a cardiology fellowship at the University of Louisville. She is board certified in cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine and holds an additional certification in echocardiography from the National Board of Echocardiography. She is an active member of the American Heart Association and the American College of Cardiology.

Whether caring for patients in the clinic or hospital, Dr. Williams is committed to providing personalized care that empowers patients to make informed decisions about their cardiovascular health.

Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time with her family, playing tennis, building intricate LEGO creations and international travel.
