Biography

Dr. Espy is board-certified in general Urology and has fellowship training in Urologic Trauma and Reconstruction. After receiving his industrial engineering degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology, he went on to obtain his medical and public health degrees from Tulane University. Dr. Espy completed his Urology residency training at Virginia Commonwealth University and his fellowship training at Emory University. After five years in private practice in Marietta, GA, Dr. Espy, along with his family, spent two years in East Africa where he served as a medical missionary. While in Kenya he helped teach urologic procedures to Kenyan general surgeons in training. Dr. Espy was especially drawn to Baylor Scott & White Health because of its commitment to help meet the medical needs of underserved areas around the world and its willingness to provide protected time for him and his family to serve overseas. Dr. Espy spends the majority of his free time with his wife Ashleigh and their four children, often in church, school and sports activities. His interest include reading, running and medical missions.
