Biography
Dr. Karagiannis is a board-certified cardiovascular specialist serving the communities of suburban Dallas and North Texas. His clinical focus is on treating patients with heart issues such as coronary artery disease, atrial fibrillation, arrhythmias, valvular heart disease, high cholesterol, diabetes and obesity. He believes strongly in the importance of preventative cardiac care and works with his patients to improve and maintain their overall heart health. In addition, Dr. Karagiannis is extensively trained in advanced cardiac imaging and holds certifications from the National Board of Echocardiography, the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology and the Certification Board of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography. Prior to moving back to Texas, he maintained a busy practice with Piedmont Heart in Georgia. He is currently a member of the medical staff at Baylor Scott & White The Heart Hospital – Plano, McKinney, Denton and Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Plano, McKinney.
When Dr. Karagiannis has time away from his clinical practice, he enjoys spending it with his wife and daughters. He also enjoys home improvement, woodworking, cooking, reading, exercising, spending time on the water and visiting family in Waco and League City.
