Biography

Raphaelle D. Vallerera, MD is board certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. Dr. Vallera specializes in the treatment of adult endocrine disorders and has a particular interest in thyroid disorders, diabetes, and bone metabolism. She is the current Chairman of the Endocrine Tumor Site Committee at Baylor Sammons Cancer Center and enjoys teaching endocrinology to the medical house staff that often rotate through her office. Dr. Vallera earned her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA before completing her residency training in Internal Medicine at the University of Connecticut in Farmington, CT. She also completed a three-year fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC where she held an interest in bone metabolism and therefor spent two years training at the Duke Bone and Metabolic Diseases Clinic.
