As I'm getting older I am less confident with certain parts of my body as I was when I was younger,let alone feel comfortable enough to not be nervously riddled with anxiety having to share things with a doctor. Yesterday I felt none of those things. When the doctor walked in I immediatly felt like I could breathe easily. The doctors presence alone in the room was enough to feel safe, it's just something you feel around people sometimes that you can never seen to put your finger on, you just know. More often than not my experience with doctors has always been a condescending and rushed conversation with little to no actual care and concern. She offered information and solutions without me having to ask a bunch of questions because she had covered everything and was truly genuine. I had a smile on my face the entire time - you can be satisfied with something or someone and have a good experience and score everything perfect on a survey and usually it ends there. I will actually go out of my way to make recommendations and actually did already once after leaving yesterday and planned on sharing my experience on the neighborhood app like people do here in Southwood Valley. I'm unfamiliar with recognition/rewards doctors get from hospitals and colleagues - something prestigious or that doctors work hard over a lifetime for but whatever those rewards or recognitions are she should be nominated and win. |
