Biography
Dr. Anderson is the Medical Director of the Fort Worth and Weatherford Plastic Surgery Centers. Dr. Anderson completed specialty training in and is American Board certified in both plastic surgery and otolaryngology-head & neck surgery. He currently limits his practice to plastic surgery with an emphasis on cosmetic plastic surgery, melanomas and reconstruction after cancer surgery.
As a member of both the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the prestigious American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Dr. Anderson maintains a firm commitment to patient education and the advancement of plastic surgery. He spent over five years as a full-time faculty member in the Department of Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, TX, and has been a member of the editorial board of the Selected readings in Plastic Surgery since 1987. He is the author of monographs on Melanomas and Facial Nerve Surgery and has written numerous scientific articles and book chapters.
After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at El Paso, Dr. Anderson completed his medical education at UT Southwestern. After finishing his residency in otolaryngology-head & neck surgery and a fellowship in otology/neurotology/skull-base surgery, he finalized his training by completing a residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Anderson spent almost six months volunteering as a medical missionary in the Fiji Islands. He worked to train the local surgeons and taught at the University of the South Pacific in Suva, Fiji. More recently, he has participated in medical missions to Mexico, Guatemala and Honduras working with surgical groups and cleft lip/palate teams.
Dr. Anderson and his wife, Janie, have resided in Fort Worth since 1987. They have three wonderful children: Katherine, Lillian and Noah.
