Biography
Dr. Myles is the founder and president of the Institute of Spinal Disorders. He treats patients with a wide variety of orthopedic problems and specializes in the treatment of spinal pain. Dr. Myles is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
Over the course of his career, Dr. Myles has played a leading role in helping to establish minimally invasive surgery as an effective surgical option for spine surgery. He is a pioneer in the development of minimally invasive spinal surgery, has been involved in the creation of minimally invasive devices and has patented a minimally invasive system that improves the efficiency of minimally invasive surgery.
Dr. Myles has helped relieve over 10,000 patients of neck and back pain using non-surgical methods and has completed over 4,000 surgical cases.
Dr. Myles is a student of Karate. He is a sixth-degree Black Belt in Shotokan Karate and third degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. He has been involved in Karate for 36 years and while in medical school was a member of the USA Karate team, winning a silver medal at the 1990 Goodwill Exchange Games.
