Biography

Dr. Rodriguez-Ruesga attended medical school at Universidad De Nuevo Leon in 1991. He then completed residencies in Preliminary Surgery at the Mayo Graduate School Of Medicine-Rochester in 1993 and in General Surgery from Butterworth Hospital/Michigan State in 1998. In 1999, he completed a fellowship in colon/rectal surgery at Baylor University Medical Center, part of Baylor Scott & White Health.

Dr. Rodriguez-Ruesga is certified in colon and rectal surgery by the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery and in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery.

Dr. Rodriguez-Ruesga and his wife, Julie, have three children. His hobbies include singing, playing guitar, traveling, kayaking, running and collecting coins.
