Biography
Dr. Thomas is originally from Dallas, TX and received his initial medical training at Ross University School of Medicine. He then went onto the University of Oklahoma for training in Internal Medicine. After graduating residency, he served on faculty at the University of Oklahoma as an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine. He then transitioned to UT Southwestern for a professorship position while practicing inpatient medicine taking care of critically ill patients. He is transitioning to the realm of primary care to bring his medical expertise to more of the front lines. After years of working in the hospital and take care of critically ill patients, he's noticed first hand how important prevention is. Preventing hypertension. preventing diabetes, preventing weight gain and it's associated effect on the body - what we call the "metabolic syndrome". Then taking it a step further and helping a patient realize how they got to one of these diagnoses in the first place. Was it the years of lack of sleep? Was it the months of waiting to start that exercise regiment? Was it the lack of willpower to stick to a diet? He wants to be on the front the of patient care dynamic One that can help a patient realize that they are in the realms of a windfall or help them from falling into one in the first place. His focus is on anti-aging, longevity, preventive health and mental health. He hope to see you in the clinic, helping to make you a better person physically and mentally.
