Saman Ahmed, MD

Dr. Saman Ahmed is a board-certified physician, specializing in pulmonary and critical care. Her professional interests include acute respiratory distress syndrome, respiratory failure, shock, critical care research and ultrasound, pulmonary hypertension, interstitial lung disease, lung cancer and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.


Dr. Ahmed is passionate about providing high-quality, compassionate care to her adolescent and adult patients. She finds it rewarding to teach and nurture medical students, residents and fellows-in-training to become successful physicians.

Dr. Ahmed is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians, the American Thoracic Society, the Society of Critical Care Medicine and the American Medical Association. She is proud to have presented her work at national conferences and been published in peer-reviewed journals.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, cooking, reading and traveling. Dr. Ahmed also likes painting on canvas and fabric.
