Dr. Kumar is a board-certified physician specializing in transplant pulmonology with a subspecialty in pulmonary and critical care medicine. His professional interests include anastomotic airway complications, pulmonary venopathy, mechanical support devices, clinical immunology and xenotransplantation.


Dr. Kumar is passionate about providing precise, empathetic care for his adult patients. He is committed to advancing the field of transplant medicine and providing patients with a second opportunity at life that emphasizes longevity and improved quality of living.

Dr. Kumar is a proud member of the American College of Chest Physicians, the International Society for Heart & Lung Transplantation and the American Society of Transplantation.

Outside of work, Dr. Kumar enjoys snowboarding, longboarding and scuba diving.
