Seamus David Lonergan, MD

Dr. Seamus Lonergan attended the University of California San Francisco Medical School in California. He later completed an Emergency Medicine Residency at Alameda County Medical Center/Highland General Hospital, where he also served as Chief Resident. He worked in California for six years at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center as a physician and ED quality improvement director before moving back home to Dallas.

Dr. Lonergan began his tenure with Integrative Emergency Services as the Assistant Medical Director for the Emergency Department at BSWH - Grapevine for three years, while also working at Baylor University Medical Center. In 2015, Dr. Lonergan was named as the Medical Director at BSWH - Irving, serving in that role for four years. During that time, he garnered tremendous experience in improving emergency department operations through focused quality improvements efforts. Dr. Lonergan has successfully championed efforts impacting quality, safety, patient experience, and physician engagement at both a local and system level. He is currently serving as the Emergency Department Medical Director for Baylor University Medical Center, where he continues to pursue his passion for public health, continuous quality improvement, operational efficiency, and team work.
