Shibu Oommen, MD

Dr. Oommen always wanted to be a family physician. He was born and raised in Sugar Land, TX, and worked in the Midwest before deciding to move back to the Lone Star State. He has experience working in various healthcare settings including urgent care, hospital medicine, and outpatient primary care.  He has a passion for teaching and dedicated his time to teach medical students and residents at the local medical school and residency program as a clinical assistant professor prior to joining Baylor Scott & White in 2021. Dr. Oommen enjoys taking care of patients of all ages- newborns and up, providing a spectrum of care from preventative medicine to chronic disease management.  Outside of the office, he enjoys playing various sports, spending time with his family, and doing DIY projects.
