Biography
Dr. Agrawala’s decision to pursue a career in reproductive endocrinology stems from her personal polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) journey. Diagnosed with PCOS as an adolescent, having to navigate the challenges and uncertainties of the condition ignited a passion in Dr. Agrawala to understand and alleviate the struggles associated with reproductive health. “There is nothing more gratifying than helping someone start or grow a family when they have been struggling to do so. Assisting individuals and couples in fulfilling their dream of becoming parents is profoundly rewarding, and being a part of their journey from hope to realization is an honor I cherish every day.” Dr. Agrawala believes that there is no greater privilege and responsibility than being trusted with a patient’s most intimate hopes, fears, and goals. She is intentional about forging close, supportive relationships with her patients and their families. She feels privileged to provide both medical expertise and emotional support. Her patients value her ability to provide care that aligns with their individual circumstances and goals. Dr. Agrawala’s empathetic and patient-centered approach ensures that her patients feel heard, understood, and supported throughout their fertility journey, fostering a strong, trusting relationship that enhances their overall experience and outcomes. Personal Life Dr. Agrawala is inspired by nature and finds joy in exploring national parks with her family. She has a passion for cooking and unwinds by creating delicious meals for her loved ones. In her spare time, Dr. Agrawala enjoys reading, immersing herself in a different world or learning something new. Reproductive training Dr. Shilpi Agrawala graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in neuroscience and behavioral biology from Emory University and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. She went on to earn her medical degree from UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. Dr. Agrawala then completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston before completing her reproductive endocrinology and infertility fellowship at Duke University. After completing her fellowship, Dr. Agrawala joined Dallas IVF as a fertility specialist in 2024.
