Baylor Scott & White has established agreements with several types of insurances in an effort to make sure your health needs are covered.
Dr. Tarugu has wanted to become a physician for as long as she can remember. Her passion for science, combined with a desire to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives, naturally led her to a career in medicine. She considers it a privilege to support patients through some of their most challenging moments while helping them achieve better health and well-being. As a gastroenterologist, Dr. Tarugu appreciates the specialty’s variety and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on her patients’ health. She enjoys partnering with patients to diagnose and treat digestive conditions, manage chronic gastrointestinal diseases and prevent colorectal cancer through appropriate screening. Her clinical interests include comprehensive gastrointestinal care, upper endoscopy (EGD), colonoscopy and colorectal cancer screening, as well as the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of digestive disorders. Outside of medicine, Dr. Tarugu enjoys spending time with her husband and their beloved pets, as well as cooking and painting.
