Something I have to do in order to take care of my health. Good bedside manner, patience, empathy, and even listening to my concerns were considered bonus experiences but be never expected. Given the nature of their job and how demanding it is, I expected this type of service, and thought it was normal.For this specific visit, I drove from Houston and ended up going to the wrong building. The fault was completely mine. I have gone to the same building for years and it never occurred to me that the location could change. I would not have made it in time to the correct location and she had every right to cancel my appointment. Instead, she kept my appointment and found a way to still squeeze me in. I have never experienced such compassion and empathy from a doctor in my 35 years on this earth. I was completely overwhelmed, anxious, and stressed out assuming that I would not be able to keep my appointment. But when I got there I was treated with kindness and understanding. I will keep Drotar as my doctor until the day I die. I don't care if I move and have to fly in from another state just to go to an appointment. She truly is passionate about what she does and it shows in how she treats her patients! | |
