Biography

Suvin Banker, DO earned his medical degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, NY. He then completed his residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Gastroenterology & Hepatology at Stony Brook University Hospital in New York where he served as the chief fellow. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology. Throughout his training, Dr. Banker took a special interest in studying refractory reflux disease in 9/11 responders and workers who are followed by the World Trade Center Medical Monitoring and Treatment Program. He is also passionate about colon cancer prevention, inflammatory bowel and liver diseases. In his spare time he is a member of a music group where he is the lead percussionist and recording artist. His genre of music includes Hindi film music, religious music and Gujarati garba. His group performs at various South Asian and western events.
