Biography
Dr. Ploskanych earned his medical degree from I.Ya. Horbachevsky Ternopil State Medical University in Ternopil, Ukraine. He then completed an internship in preliminary internal medicine at Fairview Hospital, part of Cleveland Clinic, and a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, TX.
Dr. Ploskanych is a diplomate of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He also is a member of the Association of Academic Physiatrists and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
His patient care areas include sports injuries, ultrasound-guided injections, musculoskeletal disorders, the spine, electrodiagnosis, nerve conduction velocity, trigger point pain injections, joint injections, Botox injections for spasticity and baclofen pump management.
At UT Southwestern, Dr. Ploskanych earned an award for the Best PM&R Scientific Day presentation and was named Senior Resident of the Year and Chief Resident, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
