Biography
Dr. Cole was raised on a cotton farm in the Texas Panhandle near Clarendon, TX. He graduated summa cum laude from West Texas State University and subsequently attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas where he graduated in 1992. After five years of general surgery residency training at the University of Kansas, Dr. Cole practiced for the following 16 years in Lincoln, NE, until returning home to the great state of Texas in 2012. While in Nebraska, Dr. Cole was an adjunct instructor for the University of Nebraska. In addition, the time in Nebraska helped make Dr. Cole an avid Cornhusker football fan. Dr. Cole has also been a pilot for over a decade and is proud to be a designee of the Federal Aviation Administration as a Senior Aviation Medical Examiner. Dr. Cole combines quality training, 25 years of general surgical experience and good "old-fashioned" bedside manner to help his patients' surgical experiences be as positive as possible. Dr. Cole is proud of his Texas roots; his fourth great grandfather, Gabriel Cole, fought in the Siege of Bexar (1835) at San Antonio in the Texas Revolution.
