Biography

Dr. George is a board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon and specializes in minimally invasive cardiac surgery and implantation of left ventricular assist devices for end-stage heart failure. Dr. George received his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta. He then completed his residency in general surgery at the distinguished Johns Hopkins Hospital where he was awarded the Hugh R. Sharp Cardiac Surgery Research Fellowship. Dr. George stayed on at Johns Hopkins and completed the two-year cardiac research fellowship, receiving numerous awards and recognition for his outstanding work. He then went on to the University of Virginia where he completed a second fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery. Dr. George is on the medical staff at Baylor Scott & White The Heart Hospital – Plano.
