Biography

Dr. William “Chance” Conner specializes in adult cardiac surgery at Baylor Scott & White, serving patients across Central Texas with expertise spanning the full spectrum of cardiac surgical disease. His clinical focus includes coronary artery bypass surgery, valve repair and replacement, thoracic aortic disease repair, and arrhythmia surgery, with a commitment to delivering excellent surgical outcomes and compassionate patient care.

Dr. Conner’s path to cardiac surgery began early in his medical training, drawn by the complexity of cardiac physiology and the technical challenges of the specialty. More importantly, he recognized early on the profound impact cardiac surgery could have on improving patients’ lives. Today, that passion remains rooted in addressing the ongoing burden of heart disease within the community and helping patients achieve symptom relief, improved quality of life, and better long-term outcomes.
