Biography

Dr. William Rayburn is a board-certified gynecologist who has a particular interest in menopausal medicine. He has worked in College Station since 1987.

Dr. Rayburn enjoys developing strong working relationships with his patients and is humbled that they entrust their care to him. His philosophy is that active listening and good physician communication are the keys to a good patient experience.


He is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the Texas Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and Texas Medical Association. He earned his certification from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Rayburn serves as a clinical associate professor of OB/GYN at Texas A&M School of Medicine. In 2014, he was awarded the Outstanding Alumnus Award by the Texas A&M University Health Science Center, College of Medicine. He is passionate about medical education and has taught medical students his entire career.

When not working, he enjoys photography, gardening, skiing, hiking and Aggie sports.

Dr. Rayburn is retiring effective June 18, 2026.
