Biography

Dr. Wise is a board-certified internal medicine physician with a professional interest in preventive cardiovascular medicine. Before coming to Baylor, he practiced in both Colorado and Arizona. He previously served at CASS homeless shelter where he taught medical students first-hand the value of physicians helping those less fortunate. Additionally, Dr. Wise is on the Transplant Leadership Council of the American Transplant Foundation.


Prior to medical school, Dr. Wise was the assistant Emergency Services director and a search-plane observer (navigator) for a Colorado air search & rescue team, where his service earned him three squadron recognitions and two Commander’s Commendations.

Outside of work, he is active with his church and enjoys scuba diving, snowboarding and spending time with family and friends.
