Yuhang Zhou, MD, PhD

Dr. Zhou is a dedicated hematologist and medical oncologist who draws daily inspiration from the strength and resilience of his patients and their families during life’s most vulnerable moments. He is deeply committed to transforming the latest research breakthroughs into tangible benefits for patients with blood disorders and solid tumors. His research work on treatment-related time toxicity is guided by a simple question: How can we offer patients not just more time—but better time? This philosophy underscores his devotion to cancer care that values both longevity and quality of life. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Zhou’s scientific curiosity led him to pursue a PhD and a research fellowship investigating the genetic and pathophysiological mechanisms underlying hematologic disorders, with a focus on platelet signaling pathways.

Dr. Zhou’s areas of expertise in benign hematology include anemia, hematologic disorders, platelet dysfunction, clotting and bleeding diseases.


Breast cancer, lung cancer, head and neck cancer, genitourinary malignancies, solid tumor neoplasms, and hematologic malignancies are treated by Dr. Zhou as part of his medical oncology practice.

Outside of medicine, he finds joy in teaching magic tricks to his sons, hiking national parks with his wife, chasing ATPs on the pickleball court, and waiting patiently behind his camera lens for a glimpse of elusive wildlife.
