Overview 50-50

McLane Children's Medical Center offers an ASHP-accredited pharmacy residency designed to provide a broad experience in hospital pharmacy practice. We are a level IV NICU and level II trauma center.

Our residents focus on the comprehensive care of patients through evaluation and intervention of medication orders, interdisciplinary rounding, antimicrobial stewardship, transitions of care, education, and research.

PGY1 pharmacy residency programs build on the Doctor of Pharmacy education and outcomes to contribute to developing clinical pharmacists responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions, eligible for board certification and postgraduate year two (PGY2) pharmacy residency training.

We accept one resident each year.
