Eric Sims, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant and has been practicing in orthopedic spine for the last 15 years. He evaluates and treats conditions ranging from mild backache to severe spinal deformity. His primary focus throughout his career has been spine deformity, and he has assisted in over 1,000 surgical procedures for the realignment of scoliosis, kyphosis and sagittal imbalance. His surgical knowledge lends itself well to the clinic setting, where he uses it to provide patient education about both operative and nonoperative conditions. He has also aided with data collection, data evaluation and quality control in research projects relating to spine deformity.
When not working, Eric enjoys a variety of activities, including time with family and friends, travel, mountain biking, snowboarding, drawing, photography, and constructing scale aircraft models. He is also a musician and plays several instruments, including guitar, bass, piano and drums.
