Michael Gorman Smith, PA-C

Michael Gorman-Smith is a neurosurgery physician assistant who believes that exceptional care goes beyond the operating room. He is dedicated to communicating clearly, listening deeply, and taking a truly patient-centered approach — so that every person he treats feels supported, informed, and confident in their care.  What drew him to neurosurgery is the full continuum of care it provides — from evaluating a patient at their most critical moment, to assisting in the operating room, to watching them recover and reclaim their life. It's an incredibly rewarding specialty, because the work he does has the power to fundamentally change someone's future.  What excites him the most about patient care is the ability to create immediate change. Patients arrive with urgent, often life-altering problems — and whether they are operated on or provided non-surgical alternatives, Michael appreciates making a real difference from day one. For him, that capacity for immediate, meaningful impact is one of the greatest privileges of practicing neurosurgery.
