Brody Flanagin, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in shoulder and elbow surgery who sees patients in Dallas and Frisco. He provides advanced care for a wide range of shoulder and elbow conditions, including rotator cuff tears, shoulder arthritis, shoulder instability, shoulder fractures, elbow injuries and sports-related shoulder conditions. His expertise includes arthroscopic shoulder surgery, shoulder replacement surgery, reverse shoulder replacement, complex shoulder reconstruction and fracture care.
Dr. Flanagin is fellowship-trained in shoulder and elbow surgery and is dedicated to helping patients relieve pain, restore function and return to the activities they enjoy. He treats patients of all ages and activity levels, utilizing both non-surgical and surgical treatment options tailored to each patient's individual needs and goals.
After earning his medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, Dr. Flanagin completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Yale University School of Medicine. He then completed advanced fellowship training in Shoulder & Elbow Surgery at the Carrell Clinic and Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. Following his fellowship, he trained in France with internationally recognized shoulder experts Dr. Gilles Walch and Prof. Pascal Boileau, gaining expertise in advanced shoulder reconstruction and replacement techniques.
An active fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Dr. Flanagin is also a member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America and the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons society. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed scientific publications and book chapters and regularly presents research at national meetings.
