Biography
Dr. Trinh is a fellowship trained sports medicine physician who provides skilled, non-surgical treatment for all musculoskeletal injuries and disorders. He takes care of patients of all ages who have acute conditions such as concussions and fractures to chronic conditions such as arthritis and tendinopathies. His goal is to maximize function and minimize disability while focusing on the patient as a whole to prevent injuries, improve performance and enhance overall health. Dr. Trinh obtained his medical degree from the University of North Texas Health Sciences Center and went on to complete his residency at the University of Oklahoma, where he trained under the Oklahoma City Thunder team physician and the University of Oklahoma team physician. Following his residency training, Dr. Trinh completed a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Arkansas. As associate team physician for all campus sports, he was able to provide medical care for home competitions as well as travel with the teams. As a sports medicine specialist, a major component of Dr. Trinh's practice includes the use of diagnostic and therapeutic ultrasound. His focus includes return to play protocols, pre-participation physicals, stress fractures, overuse injuries, viscosupplementation injections, steroid injections and various other non-surgical treatments. His training includes regenerative medicine and ortho-biologics like platelet-rich plasma that heal the body naturally through the body's own cells and growth factors. Concussion management is rapidly evolving, and Dr. Trinh is passionate about following up to date evidence based guidelines. In his fellowship training he was involved in ongoing concussion research and has experience managing concussions and return to play protocols for SEC Division I athletes. Dr. Trinh is a nationally certified ImPACT concussion consultant and can manage concussions of all ages and activity levels. In his free time Dr. Trinh and his wife enjoy traveling, cooking, spending time with family, TCU football, and the Dallas Cowboys. Dr. Trinh has been the recipient of various awards. He was recognized by Fort Worth Magazine as a Top Doctor for 2024 and 2025, has earned the distinction of Ellis County's 40 under 40, Texas Academy of Family Physicians Member of the Month, Texas Monthly Magazine's Super Doctor Rising Star, winner of Living Magazine’s Best Of Arlington & Mansfield for Sports Medicine and Regenerative Medicine, named a 40 under 40 honoree by the Fort Worth Business Press, nominated as a Best of Ellis County Finalist for Best Orthopedic Doctor 2024 and Winner of Best of Ellis County for Best Orthopedic Doctor 2025.
