Biography

Christopher Trinh, DO, is a fellowship-trained primary care sports medicine physician specializing in the non-surgical treatment of sports injuries, musculoskeletal conditions, joint pain, arthritis, tendon injuries, fractures, concussions and overuse injuries. He sees patients in Midlothian and Waxahachie and is committed to helping patients of all ages reduce pain, restore function and return to the activities they enjoy.

Dr. Trinh provides comprehensive care for a wide range of acute and chronic orthopedic and sports-related conditions, including arthritis, tendinopathies, stress fractures, ligament injuries, muscle strains, joint pain and concussion management. His patient-centered approach focuses on maximizing function, minimizing disability and promoting long-term health through personalized treatment plans tailored to each individual's goals and lifestyle.

As a sports medicine specialist, Dr. Trinh utilizes advanced diagnostic and therapeutic technologies, including musculoskeletal ultrasound and ultrasound-guided procedures. His expertise includes corticosteroid injections, viscosupplementation injections and regenerative medicine treatments, including platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy and orthobiologics, which harness the body's natural healing processes to support recovery.

Dr. Trinh has extensive experience caring for athletes at all levels and completed advanced sports medicine fellowship training at the University of Arkansas, where he served as an associate team physician for collegiate athletics. His residency training at the University of Oklahoma included working alongside the team physicians for the Oklahoma City Thunder and University of Oklahoma athletics programs.

A recognized expert in concussion care, Dr. Trinh is passionate about utilizing the latest evidence-based guidelines to diagnose, treat and manage concussions. He is a nationally certified ImPACT concussion consultant and has experience developing concussion management and return-to-play protocols for athletes of all ages, from youth sports participants to Division I collegiate athletes.
Dr. Trinh's sports medicine experience extends to international competition, having provided courtside medical coverage during the 2025 Women's USA Volleyball Tournament in Arlington, Texas, which featured elite athletes representing the United States, Canada, China, the Dominican Republic, Germany and Thailand.

Dr. Trinh has earned numerous professional honors in recognition of his commitment to sports medicine and patient care. His accolades include recognition as a Fort Worth Magazine Top Doctor, Living Magazine Best Sports Medicine and Regenerative Medicine Physician, Texas Monthly Super Doctors Rising Star, Ellis County 40 Under 40 Honoree, and Best of Ellis County Orthopedic Doctor.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Trinh enjoys traveling, cooking, spending time with family, cheering on TCU football and supporting the Dallas Cowboys.
