Jacob R. Zide, MD, is a fellowship-trained orthopedic foot and ankle surgeon who sees patients in Dallas and Plano. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of foot and ankle conditions, including foot and ankle arthritis, sports injuries, fractures, tendon disorders, ankle instability, deformities and complex reconstructive conditions. His expertise includes foot and ankle reconstruction, deformity correction, ankle replacement surgery, fracture care and the treatment of both routine and complex foot and ankle disorders.
Dr. Zide is committed to helping patients relieve pain, restore mobility and return to the activities they enjoy. Utilizing the latest surgical and non-surgical treatment options, he provides personalized care for patients experiencing foot and ankle pain, injury and loss of function.
A native of North Texas, Dr. Zide graduated with honors from The University of Texas at Austin before earning his medical degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he graduated first in his class. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at UT Southwestern Medical Center, serving as Chief Resident and receiving the W. Brandon Carrell Distinguished Physician Award. He then completed advanced fellowship training in foot and ankle surgery at the Institute for Foot and Ankle Reconstruction at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore.
In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Zide serves as a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and Program Director of the Baylor Scott & White Foot and Ankle Surgery Fellowship. He is actively involved in clinical research, national orthopedic leadership initiatives and the treatment of adolescent foot and ankle deformities.
Dr. Zide has been recognized as a
