Biography

Jason D. Alder, MD, FAAOS, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of neck pain, back pain, herniated discs, spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease, scoliosis, spinal deformity and other complex spine conditions. He sees patients in Frisco and is committed to helping patients return to active, healthy lives through personalized, evidence-based care.

Dr. Alder serves as Director of Spinal Surgery at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Frisco and Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Centennial. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Houston Methodist Hospital and went on to complete a combined orthopedic and neurosurgical spine surgery fellowship at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic. His advanced training allows him to treat a broad range of spinal disorders using the latest surgical and nonsurgical techniques.

Dedicated to a conservative approach whenever possible, Dr. Alder believes that many spine conditions can be successfully managed without surgery. When surgery is necessary, he focuses on utilizing the least invasive treatment options appropriate for each patient's condition, helping to minimize recovery time and optimize outcomes.

Dr. Alder is known for treating every patient with the same level of care, compassion and attention he would provide to a member of his own family. He works closely with patients to develop individualized treatment plans that align with their goals, lifestyle and long-term health.
