Dr. Herrera has always felt a great passion for helping others and for problem solving -- or "fixing" -- an issue. This, paired with his love for science and the fascination with human anatomy and physiology, motivated him to become a physician. The specialty of urology fascinates him, given the wide variety of problems that present within this specialty. It is also a specialty full of exciting innovations, particularly in the field of robotic surgery, which is one of his main interests. His favorite part of urology is performing minimally invasive procedures for the treatment of kidney cancer, stone disease and prostate enlargement.
Outside of work, Dr. Herrera enjoys spending time with his wife and son. As a family, they enjoy traveling, hiking and visiting new places. He also loves spending time outdoors, hiking, fishing and hunting.
Dr. Herrera uses robot-assisted technology to perform minimally invasive surgery. Patients benefit from shorter hospital stays, less pain, and a lower risk of infection due to the nature of the procedure. Learn more about
