Biography
"Dr. Blazo attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, TX. She then completed a Family Medicine residency in Corpus Christi, TX, and then a Medical Genetics Fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX.
Dr. Blazo was a Family Practitioner in Corpus Christi for several years before the Human Genome Project inspired her to pursue fellowship training in Clinical Genetics. Her goal for the comprehensive Genetics Clinic at Baylor Scott & White Health Central Texas is to expand access for families across the state who need genetic counseling and genetic health services.
Dr. Blazo is very passionate about teaching ""practical genomics"" through evidenced-based applications of genetic testing in clinical care and particularly to cancer care and prevention."
