Nicholas Adam Douville, MD

Nicholas Douville, DO, is a board-certified family medicine physician with fellowship training in sports medicine who sees patients in Frisco and McKinney. He specializes in the non-surgical diagnosis and treatment of sports injuries, musculoskeletal conditions and concussion-related injuries in athletes and active individuals of all ages. His clinical interests include concussion management, return-to-play protocols, joint and tendon injuries, arthritis, overuse injuries and sports-related conditions affecting the muscles, bones, joints and ligaments.


Dr. Douville takes a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, developing personalized treatment plans that focus on relieving pain, restoring function and helping patients safely return to their daily activities, work or sport. He emphasizes non-operative treatment options and utilizes advanced diagnostic tools, including musculoskeletal ultrasound and X-ray imaging, to evaluate injuries and guide treatment. His services include medication management, physical therapy, occupational therapy, vestibular therapy, ultrasound-guided injections and other minimally invasive procedures.

Whether caring for competitive athletes, weekend warriors or individuals with everyday musculoskeletal concerns, Dr. Douville is committed to helping patients improve mobility, optimize performance and achieve long-term health and wellness goals.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Douville has provided sports medicine coverage for local, regional and national athletic events. In 2025, he served on the sports medicine team for the Women's USA Volleyball Tournament in Arlington, Texas, supporting athletes from Team USA, Canada, China, the Dominican Republic, Germany and Thailand.

In his spare time, Dr. Douville enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He is an avid Dallas sports fan and participates in various recreational leagues to maintain an active lifestyle. He, his wife and two girls enjoy many outdoor activities, including camping, hiking and lake days.
