Dr. Dillawn grew up in Houston and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. Following residency training he returned to Austin where he has been in practice for more than 20 years, both in private practice and an academic setting. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and certified by the American Board of Surgery. Away from work, Dr. Dillawn enjoys hiking, fishing, reading, and spending time with his family.
Dr. Dillawn uses robot-assisted technology to perform minimally invasive surgery. Patients benefit from shorter hospital stays, less pain, and a lower risk of infection due to the nature of the procedure.
